DMNDR LLC is the company that operates PressPop..
This Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information. While we collect some personal information about you, we do not rent or sell your personal information to third parties.
By using PressPop, you consent to this policy.
The PressPop discovery movement was founded on a simple, but powerful principle: we can do more together than any of us can do alone. We cannot work collectively without gathering, sharing, and analyzing information about our users as we seek new ways to make the PressPop application more useable, safer, and more beneficial.
We do not sell or rent your nonpublic information, nor do we give it to others to sell you anything. We use it to figure out how to make the PressPop more engaging and accessible, to see which ideas work, and to make learning and contributing more fun. Put simply: we use this information to make the PressPop better for you.
After all, it's people like you, the champions of free knowledge, who make it possible for the PressPop to not only exist, but also grow and thrive.
Types of Information We Receive From You, How We Get It, & How We Use It
Whatever you post on PressPop can be seen and used by everyone.
Your Public Contributions
PressPop was primarily created to help you share your beverage knowledge with the world, and we share your contributions because you have asked us to do so.
When you make a contribution to PressPop, including on user or discussion pages, you are creating a permanent, public record of every piece of content added, removed, or altered by you. The page history will show when your contribution or deletion was made, as well as your username or your IP address. We may use your public contributions, either aggregated with the public contributions of others or individually, to create new features or data-related products for you or to learn more about how the PressPop are used.
Unless this Policy says otherwise, you should assume that information that you actively contribute to PressPop, including personal information that you allow to be public, is publicly visible and can be found by search engines. Like most things on the Internet, anything you share may be copied and redistributed throughout the Internet by other people. Please do not contribute any information that you are uncomfortable making permanently public, like revealing your real name or location in your contributions.
You should be aware that specific data made public by you or aggregated data that is made public by us can be used by anyone for analysis and to infer information about users, such as which country a user is from, political affiliation, and gender.
Account Information & Registration
You are not required to create an account to use PressPop as a reader, except if you wish to contribute.
Once created, user accounts cannot be removed entirely (although you can usually hide the information on your user page if you choose to). This is because your public contributions must be associated with their author (you!). So make sure you pick a name that you will be comfortable with for years to come.
To gain a better understanding of the demographics of our users, to localize our services, and to learn how we can improve our services, we may ask you for more demographic information, such as gender or age, about yourself. We will tell you if such information is intended to be public or private, so that you can make an informed decision about whether you want to provide us with that information.
Information Related to Your Use of PressPop
We want to make PressPop better for you by learning more about how you use them. Examples of this might include how often you visit PressPop, what you like, what you find helpful, how you get to PressPop, and whether you would use a helpful feature more if we explained it differently. We also want this Policy and our practices to reflect our community's values. For this reason, we keep information related to your use of PressPop confidential, except as provided in this Policy.
Information We Receive Automatically
Because of how browsers work and similar to other major websites, we receive some information automatically when you visit PressPop. This information includes the type of device you are using (possibly including unique device identification numbers, for some beta versions of our mobile applications), the type and version of your browser, your browser's language preference, the type and version of your device's operating system, in some cases the name of your internet service provider or mobile carrier, the website that referred you to PressPop, which pages you request and visit, and the date and time of each request you make to PressPop.
Put simply, we use this information to enhance your experience with PressPop. For example, we use this information to administer the sites, provide greater security, and fight vandalism; optimize mobile applications, customize content and set language preferences, test features to see what works, and improve performance; understand how users interact with PressPop, track and study use of various features, gain understanding about the demographics of the different PressPop, and analyze trends.
Information We Collect
Depending on which technology we use, locally stored data can be anything from text, pictures, and whole articles (as we explain further below) to personal information (like your IP address) and information about your use of PressPop (like your username or the time of your visit).
We use this information to make your experience with PressPop safer and better, to gain a greater understanding of user preferences and their interaction with PressPop, and to generally improve our services. We will never use third-party cookies, unless we get your permission to do so. If you ever come across a third-party data collection tool that has not been authorized by you (such as one that may have been mistakenly placed by another user or administrator), please report it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Provide you with a personalized experience, such as using cookies to know your language preference, to remember the user preferences you set so we can provide you with the customized look and feel that you want, and to tell you about interesting PressPop issues and events in your area.
- Understand how you use PressPop across different devices, so that we can make our varied PressPop more efficient and effective for you.
- Make PressPop more convenient to use, such as by using cookies to maintain your session when you log in or to remember your username in the login field.
We believe this data collection helps improve your user experience, but you may remove or disable some or all locally stored data through your browser settings, depending on your browser.
While the examples above concerning information about you collected through the use of data collection tools are kept confidential in accordance with this Policy, please note that some information about the actions taken by your username is made publicly available through public logs alongside actions taken by other users. For example, a public log may include the date your account was created on PressPop along with the dates that other accounts were created on PressPop. Information available through public logs will not include personal information about you.
Your email address though required to contribute and also for password and privacy control, is kept confidential, except as provided in this Policy. We do not sell, rent, or use your email address to advertise third-party products or services to you.
We use your email address to let you know about things that are happening with PressPop, such as telling you important information about your account, letting you know if something is changing about the our policies, and alerting you when there has been a change to an article, venue or post that you have decided to follow. Please note that if you email us, we may keep your message, email address, and any other information you provide us, so that we can process and respond to your request.
You can choose to limit some of these kinds of notifications, like those alerting you if an article changes. Others, such as those containing critical information that all users need to know to participate successfully in PressPop, you may not be able to opt out of. You can manage what kinds of notifications you receive and how often you receive them by going to your Notifications Preferences.
We will never ask for your password by email! Instead we may send you a reset link and you would be able to reset your password. We have no means of retrieving your password which is encrypted upon registration.
Surveys & Feedback
Participating in optional surveys or providing feedback helps us make PressPop better. Because every survey and request for feedback may be used for various purposes, we will tell you, at the time we give you the survey or request for feedback, how we plan on using your answers and any personal information you provide. If you don't feel comfortable with how we plan on using the survey or feedback results, you are not obligated to take the survey or give feedback.
Location Information: GPS & Other Location Technologies
Some features we offer work better if we know what area you are in. But it's completely up to you whether or not you want us to use geolocation tools to make some features available to you. If you consent, we can use GPS (and other technologies commonly used to determine location) to show you more relevant content. We keep information obtained by these technologies confidential, except as provided in this Policy.
Location Information: Metadata
Sometimes, we may automatically receive location data from your device. For example, if you want to upload a photo to PressPop, we may receive metadata, such as the place and time you took the photo, automatically from your device. Please be aware that, unlike location information collected using GPS signals described above, the default setting on your mobile device typically includes the metadata in your photo or video upload to PressPop. If you do not want metadata sent to us and made public at the time of your upload, please change your settings on your device.
Location Information: IP Addresses
Finally, when you visit PressPop, we automatically receive the IP address of the device (or your proxy server) you are using to access the Internet, which could be used to infer your geographical location. We keep IP addresses confidential, except as provided in this Policy. For example, if you make a contribution, your IP address used at the time may be publicly and permanently recorded. If you are visiting PressPop with your mobile device, we may use your IP address to provide anonymized or aggregated information to service providers regarding the volume of usage in certain areas. We use IP addresses for research and analytics; to better personalize content, notices, and settings for you; to fight spam, identity theft, malware, and other kinds of abuse; and to provide better mobile and other applications.
When May We Share Your Information?
We may share your information when you give us specific permission to do so.
With Your Permission
We may share your information for a particular purpose, if you agree.
For Legal Reasons
We may access, preserve, or disclose your personal information if we reasonably believe it necessary to satisfy a valid and legally enforceable warrant, subpoena, court order, law or regulation, or other judicial or administrative order. However, if we believe that a particular request for disclosure of a user's information is legally invalid or an abuse of the legal system and the affected user does not intend to oppose the disclosure themselves, we will try our best to fight it. We are committed to notifying you via email at least ten (10) calendar days, when possible, before we disclose your personal information in response to a legal demand. However, we may only provide notice if we are not legally restrained from contacting you, there is no credible threat to life or limb that is created or increased by disclosing the request, and you have provided us with an email address.
If the Organization is Transferred
In the extremely unlikely event that ownership of all or substantially all of PressPop changes, or we go through a reorganization (such as a merger, consolidation, or acquisition), we will continue to keep your personal information confidential, except as provided in this Policy.
To Protect You, Ourselves & Others
We hope that this never comes up, but we may disclose your personal information if we believe that it's reasonably necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm or death to a person, or to protect our organization, employees, contractors, users, or the public. We may also disclose your personal information if we reasonably believe it necessary to detect, prevent, or otherwise assess and address potential spam, malware, fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, and security or technical concerns.
To Our Service Providers or Contractors
As hard as we may try, we can't do it all. So sometimes we use third-party service providers or contractors who help run or improve PressPop for you and other users. We may give access to your personal information to these providers or contractors as needed to perform their services for us or to use their tools and services. We put requirements, such as confidentiality agreements, in place to help ensure that these service providers treat your information consistently with, and no less protective of your privacy than, the principles of this Policy.
Because You Made It Public
Any information you post publicly on PressPop is just that – public. For example, if you put your mailing address on your talk page, that is public, and not protected by this Policy. Please think carefully about your desired level of anonymity before you disclose personal information on your user page or elsewhere.
We use a variety of physical and technical measures, policies, and procedures to help protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
How Do We Protect Your Data?
We strive to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We use a variety of physical and technical measures, policies, and procedures (such as access control procedures, network firewalls, and physical security) designed to protect our systems and your personal information. Unfortunately, there's no such thing as completely secure data transmission or storage, so we can't guarantee that our security will not be breached (by technical measures or through violation of our policies and procedures).
How Long Do We Keep Your Data?
We only keep your personal information as long as necessary to maintain, understand, and improve PressPop or to comply with U.S. law.
You are consenting to the use of your information in the U.S. and to the transfer of that information to other countries in connection to providing our services to you and others.

Term, Terms and Termination
This Agreement (or if applicable, Other Agreement and/or Additional Terms), in the form posted at the time of your use of the applicable PressPop Services to which it applies, shall govern such use of such PressPop Services (including transactions entered during such use). As our site and services evolve, the terms and conditions under which we offer PressPop Services may prospectively be modified and we may cease offering the PressPop Services under the Agreement or Additional Terms for which they were previously offered. Accordingly, each time you sign in to or otherwise use the PressPop Services you are entering into a new agreement with us on the then applicable terms and conditions and you agree that we may notify you of Other Terms by posting them on the applicable PressPop Services (or in any other reasonable manner of notice which we elect), and that your use of such PressPop Services after such notice constitutes your going forward agreement to the Other Terms for your new use and transactions. Therefore, you should review the posted Agreement and any applicable Additional Terms each time you use the PressPop Services (at least prior to each transaction or submission). The Other Terms will be effective as to new use and transactions as of the time that we post them, or such later date as may be specified in them or in other notice to you. However, the Agreement (and any applicable Additional Terms) that applied when you previously used the PressPop Services will continue to apply to such prior use (i.e., changes and additions are prospective only) unless mutually agreed. In the event any notice to you of new, revised or additional terms is determined by a tribunal to be insufficient, the prior agreement shall continue until sufficient notice to establish a new agreement occurs. You should frequently check the PressPop Website, any Messages sent from PressPop to you on the PressPop Services, and the e-mail you associated with your Account for notices, all of which you agree are reasonable manners of providing you notice. You can reject any new, revised or additional terms by discontinuing use of the PressPop Services.
You may terminate your Membership at any time, for any reason, by following the instructions in your Profile Settings. PressPop may terminate your Membership at any time, for any or no reason, with or without prior notice or explanation, and without liability, except that you may have certain refund rights as provided in the next section. Further, we may deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the PressPop Services at any time, for any or no reason, with or without prior notice or explanation, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, without liability, except that you may have certain refund rights as provided in the next section.
In addition, PressPop reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reassign or rename your username and/or Profile URL and to allow indexing of such URL by third party search engines. PressPop expressly reserves the right to remove your Profile or Content, in whole or in part, and/or deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the PressPop Services, if PressPop determines, in its sole discretion, that you have violated this Agreement, are acting in a manner we deem inappropriate for the PressPop Services, or pose a threat to PressPop, its employees, business partners, Users and/or the public. Even after Membership is terminated, or you cease using the PressPop Services, some terms of your Agreement with PressPop will remain in effect.
Fees, Offers and Refunds
You acknowledge that PressPop reserves the right to charge for any portion of the PressPop Services and to change its fees (if any) from time to time in its discretion on a prospective basis. Orders are accepted by us only upon delivery by us of the product or services. We may change terms and conditions of offers from time to time and may refuse or cancel orders; provided, however, that if we have charged you prior to rejecting an order we will issue a refund. We try to accurately describe our products and services, and their pricing, but typos and other errors may occur so we do not warrant that specifications, pricing or other PressPop Content or PressPop Services will be complete, error-free, current, reliable or accurate. We will make good faith efforts to post corrections when such mistakes of a material nature are discovered and we will provide you with suitable means to allow you to correct any input errors you make before you make a payment for the PressPop Services. If PressPop terminates your Membership because you have breached the Agreement, you shall not be entitled to the refund of any unused portion of fees or payments (if any). If you terminate your Membership, you shall not be entitled to the refund of any unused portion of fees or payments (if any). If PressPop terminates your Membership, or any ongoing PressPop Services for which you have paid, other than for your breach of the Agreement (or of applicable Additional Terms), then as your sole remedy, PressPop shall provide a pro-rata refund of any fees or payments (if any) for PressPop Services that you paid for but that were not yet delivered. PressPop may require that you agree to certain Additional Terms for some PressPop Services, such as related to fee-based portions of the PressPop Services (e.g., fees to access certain content from your mobile, tablet or internet connected television or other Device). We may offer customer support services from time to time, but are not obligated to do so. Customer support representatives do not have the authority to bind us or to change or waive our rights under this Agreement or any Additional Terms. For Members in the European Union, you acknowledge that you have no right to any cooling-off period under the Distance Selling Directive (Directive 97/7/EC) on the basis that we will provide you the PressPop Services before or immediately after we receive your payment for such services.
When you sign up to become a Member, you will also be asked to choose a password. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree not to use the Account, username, email address or password of another Member at any time or to disclose your password to any third party. You agree to notify PressPop immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your Account or access to your password. You are solely responsible for any and all use of your Account.
Use by Members
To maintain the PressPop Services in a manner we deem appropriate for our venue and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PressPop may, but will not have any obligation to, review, monitor, display, reject, refuse to post, store, maintain, accept or remove any Content (as further defined below) posted (including, without limitation, private PressPop messages, public comments, public group chat messages, private group chat messages or private instant messages (collectively, "Messages")) by you, and PressPop may, in its sole discretion, delete, move, re-format, remove or refuse to post or otherwise make use of Content without notice or any liability to you or any third party in connection with our operation of Content venues in an appropriate manner. Without limitation, we may do so to address Content that comes to our attention that we believe is offensive, obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, violent, harassing, threatening, abusive, illegal or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate, or to enforce the rights of third parties or the Agreement or any applicable Additional Terms.
Proprietary Rights in Content on PressPop
PressPop does not claim any ownership rights in the text, Messages, files, images, photos, video, sounds, works of authorship, applications, or any other materials (collectively, "Content") that you transmit, submit, display or publish ("post") on, through or in connection with the PressPop Services. After posting your Content on, through or in connection with the PressPop Services, you continue to retain any such rights that you may have in your Content, subject to the limited license granted herein. By posting any Content on, through or in connection with the PressPop Services, you hereby grant to PressPop a limited license to use, modify, delete from, add to, combine with other content, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, transmit, sell, distribute, and otherwise exploit such Content by all means and manners now or later known, including, without limitation, on, through or in connection with the PressPop Services to third party applications; widgets; websites; or mobile, desktop or other services which are linked with your Account at your election.
The license you grant to PressPop is non-exclusive (meaning you are free to license your Content to anyone else in addition to PressPop), fully-paid and royalty-free (meaning that PressPop is not required to pay you or anyone else deriving rights from you for the use by PressPop of the Content that you post), sublicensable (so that PressPop is able to use its affiliates, subcontractors and other partners such as Internet content delivery networks and wireless carriers to provide the PressPop Services and, subject to good faith efforts to honor your Profile Settings, to third party search engines), and worldwide (because the Internet and the PressPop Services are global in reach). You also hereby grant to PressPop, and agree to grant to PressPop, the unconditional, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, fully-paid and royalty free right to use, share and exploit your name, persona, and likeness, and your Profile information and information about your activities on the PressPop Services (including, without limitation, your activities in connection with our sponsors and advertisers), without any obligation or remuneration to you. However, from time to time we may offer you choices regarding how information about you is shared and we will make good faith efforts to honor your elections. Except as prohibited by law, you hereby waive, and you agree to waive, any moral rights (including attribution and integrity) that you may have in any Content. To the extent not waivable, you irrevocably agree not to exercise such rights (if any) in a manner that interferes with any exercise of the rights granted hereunder. You understand that you will not receive any fees, sums, consideration, or remuneration for any of the rights granted in this Section. If you are a minor, you represent and warrant that your parent or legal guardian has consented to you granting the rights as set forth in this Section, or that are provided in any Additional Terms.
